Q 1: Contributing fonts
I'd like to offer you some help with the new gifs - I've got all
kinds of graphics utilities and fonts here, I'd love to do up some cool
ones that you could add to the collection. Is there anything I need to
know about the format? Just make them all the exact same size - or does that
even matter?
A 1: Here's what I need:
- All digits must be the same size, gif format
- Slight kludge: I automatically take the closest color
to WHITE, and make it transparent. Thus, if you want a
very light color (eg yellow) to stay that way, and you
have no whites, put a white pixel somewhere, or maybe
add a white value to the indexed color table.
- Give me zero thru nine
... Save the files as 0.gif 1.gif 2.gif etc.
- Give me a name that makes sense, following
my convention of "Size-color-style"
Uppercase only on first letter
Before you go any further, EMail me, to tell me you're going to give me a new font via the ftp "incoming"...
I'll set up a "drop box" (in "incoming") for you on the
anonymous FTP server. You can then send 10 BINARY (not packed, binhexed, tarred, zipped, or any other cute technique) GIFS.
I'll
"be the judge" on what fonts get added and taken away if
THAT part *also* gets to be an infinite sink of disk space...
You wanna see them in order of popularity?
